Sex Advice:
My Husband Suffers from Weak Erections
Question
I'm 24. I have been married to my husband for two years.
He suffers from weak erections and cannot enter me without a great deal of effort. He insists that lack of interest is not the problem. He has no heart problems or any kind of diseases and suffers from nothing that would cause this problem to our knowledge.
What can we do?
Our Sex Advice
You can do several things.
Does he drink alcohol?
Alcohol is a major cause of erection impairment.
He might cut down on alcohol or stop altogether for a few weeks and see if that helps.
Does he take any medication?
If so, ask your pharmacist and/or doctor if it is associated with erection difficulties.
Many common drugs are -even over-the-counter products. If the label says, "May cause drowsiness", the drug may cause erection problems.
Next, your husband should have a complete physical and urological examination.
You say he has no health problems, but it never hurts to make sure.
He should definitely tell his doctor the reason why he wants the physical. That way the physician can look specifically for conditions that might impair erection.
There are several products that can enhance erection.
Pumps create a vacuum around the penis and can help enlarge and harden it for long enough to enter you. One of the best pumps we know is the Precision Pump.
Cock rings can also help some men maintain erection by gently constricting the penile veins that carry blood out of the penis. We recommend the Black Rubber Cock Rings, the Leather Cock Ring and the Stretch Cock Ring.
Quite often little changes in your lovemaking style can help: more playful, whole-body massage-oriented sensuality, less penis focus. Check out the Art of Lovemaking e-course for hundreds of great ideas...
Finally, the two of your might consider sex therapy.
